Swing Stage Competent Person Training: Suspended Scaffold Hazard Awareness and Operator Training – Edmonton (May 9th)

Scaffold & Access Industry Association’s (SAIA) CPT Swing Stage course is designed for employees who perform work while on a suspended scaffold. The curriculum covers the suspended system, the supported system and emphasizes the safety system for those workers operating a suspended scaffold.

The course includes hands-on training, basic fall arrest, safe operation of a suspended scaffold and an introduction to suspended scaffold support systems. This course has a three year certification.

Participants who complete the course will receive wallet cards provided by the SAIA through Vertical Access Ltd showing successful completion of the training material.

Learning Objectives

The learning objectives of this 8 Hour Suspended Scaffold Hazard Awareness and Operator Safety Training
course are to ensure that students demonstrate an understanding of the following:

  • Suspended system;
  • The supported system;
  • Emphasizes the safety system for those workers operating a suspended scaffold
  • Safe operation of a suspended scaffold;
  • Introduction to suspended scaffold support systems

Course Costs

The cost for the 8 Hour CPT Swing Stage – Vertical Access Ltd course is $260.00 plus GST per student.

This price includes: All student materials and equipment, student manual and certificate, instructional materials, administration costs.

Extra fees for program delivery at a client’s facility may include travel fees (mileage, parking, lodging and travel time. Please contact our office for pricing information.

Course Requirements:

Students attending this course are required to have a valid Fall Protection Training.

To complete the hands on elements of the course students must also bring the following PPE: Hard Hat, Steel Toe Boots, Safety Glasses, Gloves, Harness and Lanyard. Fall protection equipment can be purchased from our web store and picked up at the class for use in the practical elements of the training.
